Patricia Apollonia Kotero, an American singer and actress is a former model. Her name was associated with her as the co-star of Prince's 1984 movie Purple Rain, and the lead singer of the girl group Apollonia 6 She was one of several female artists that benefited from Prince's collaboration throughout the 1980s. Apollonia made her debut in 1988 but the comparatively insignificant collection of dance and R&B songs did not be a hit with the music-buying public and soon the album vanished out of sight. Throughout the decade that followed the singer-songwriter remained an active actor, with a few film appearances as well as small television shows.
