Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor is an American producer stage and screen actress who is best known for her film roles on the film Ray Undercover Brother and on the tv show The Mentalist. She received the B.A. with a major in African-American Studies, from Brown University. Her MFA is in acting at Tisch School of Acting at New York University. Aunjanue Ellis is an American actor and producer working in the fields of theater, film and TV. Her acting career started in the theater. Later, she was a part of various television series, independent films and mainstream movies. Her most well-known role was Miranda Shaw on ABC's Quantico. After that, she was able to make an appearance in BET's epic television series The Book of Negroes. She started her career acting in 1995 as Ariel as Ariel in The Tempest. Her credits on stage include the Broadway show of Joe Turner's Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Drowning Crow as well as Seeking the Genesis. With regards to her work in the film industry the most recognizable roles she has played include Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express The Help. On television, her part on ABC's drama about police High Incident is well known.
